Acupunctuur bij de ziekte van Parkinson: 290+ publicaties

De term Qigong komt uit China. Een manier om te werken met energie. Energiebanen openen, energiestromen reguleren, energiecentra activeren, energie vrij laten stromen, energie voelen.

Acupuncturisten doen met acupunctuur iets soortgelijks. Daarbij gebruiken ze o.a. naalden en warmte (moxa).

Kunnen mensen met de ziekte van Parkinson baat hebben bij acupunctuurbehandelingen? Opvallend hoe weinig wetenschappelijks daarover geschreven en onderzocht is in Nederland. Het vergde veel moeite om de lijst van onderstaande, internationale publicaties samen te stellen.

De onderstaande artikelen zijn vooral bedoeld voor onderzoekers, acupuncturisten, artsen en andere therapeuten met interesse voor een complementaire, integrale behandeling van Parkinson.

Voordelen van acupunctuur:

  • kan soms symptomen verminderen (pijn, stijfheid, depressie, angst, slaapproblemen, verstopping, moeheid, traagheid, e.d.)
  • kan soms het medicijngebruik iets verminderen
  • kan soms bijwerkingen van anti-Parkinson medicijnen verminderen
  • kan soms de progressiviteit van de ziekte terugdringen
  • heeft weinig bijwerkingen

Nadelen van acupunctuur:

  • veelvuldige behandelingen noodzakelijk
  • hoge kosten (als het niet vergoed wordt en je zelf moet betalen)
  • geen in Parkinson gespecialiseerde acupuncturisten – in Nederland
  • alleen symptoombestrijding, kan de ziekte van Parkinson niet genezen, wordt door sommigen zelfs afgeraden voor mensen die echt willen genezen
  • diverse onderzoeken alleen gedaan op dieren, en/of alleen in het Chinees gepubliceerd
